Episode 12: Crossing Borders: Foreign Women's Fight for Justice and Equality
Friday Mar 10, 2023
Friday Mar 10, 2023
The explosion of K-pop music across western airwaves has caused lots of swooning and very misleading, false ideologies concerning how some men actually behave towards foreign women in their homelands. Desirable aesthetics, exceptional talent and culture have no correlation to how men respond to women. In this episode, I share the true life stories of women from diverse cultures and backgrounds, living in foreign countries who weren't lucky enough to find princes. Instead, they found living, breathing nightmares. Join me in traveling across the globe to discover how a few very brave women found perseverance and fought to reclaim their lives---free from oppression and injustice.

Sugar and spice and everything nice are NOT what the women I'm bringing you in episode 10 are made of! Women are sometimes the abusers in a relationship. However, some men don't receive the support they need due to shame, ridicule and fantasy idealization of what "true" masculinity is. Male victims often suffer in silence in domestic violence. They are not supposed to be victimized by females and the stigma is completely unfair. In a few moments, you'll hear true stories of men who were beaten by the women who were supposed to love them. These couples didn't get a 'happily ever after.' Instead, they became very familiar with two places: prison and the morgue.

Episode 9: Behind Closed Doors: The Harsh Truth of Intimate Partner Abuse
Friday Mar 03, 2023
Friday Mar 03, 2023
Ex football player Zac Stacy made headlines when a video surfaced of him physically assaulting the mother of his son. Stacy fled the state and was subsequently apprehended. Now the ex girlfriend has had a change of mind (and heart). She says he shouldn't go to jail and "deserves a chance to be better." Sadly, this is a common narrative with women who are still in love with their abusers. Some women live to tell the tale of how it feels to be on the receiving end of domestic violence...and some don't. Join me as we uncover true stories of women who suffered at the hands of male abusers.

Outrage followed after an Arkansas State Senator asked a transgender woman "Do you have a ?" Intolerance is a disease that flows within the cracks between the liberty and justice that is supposed to be for all in the United States. The fight for gender affirming care between conservatives and the transgender community is waging on with conservatives determined to stifle autonomy among those who are most vulnerable.
However, transgender people are vehemently fighting back for the right to make medical decisions concerning what they feel is right for their bodies. Scott Adam's comic, Dilbert, has recently been cancelled over a racist tirade he calls 'free speech' and he's not backing down. A grisly murder over money snuffed out the life of a beautiful Chinese model--now an entire family is facing prison for their heinous deed.

Cyberbullying and harmful social media trends are responsible for countless numbers of child and adolescent deaths. Children and teens who are of the the LGBTQIA+ community and children with developmental delays (autism) are at a greater risk of cyberbullying and ostracism from peers. Popular social media sites such as Snapchat and TikTok have been used to terrorize innocent victims literally to their deaths.
Research demonstrates the rates of suicide among the youth have spiked since the beginning of the Covid 19 pandemic. These alleged "social" media sites do not foster harmonious, personable interactions. Instead, they do just the opposite. Recently, celebrities Pink and Selena Gomez have come under fire for allegedly "shading" other celebrities, despite denials by both women. It seems no one is safe from the perils of evil bullies who wish to inflict harm on others. What is able to be done to stop children from being cyberbullied and engaging in dangerous trends? In this episode, I provide valuable statistics on bullying/cyberbullying along with solutions on what you can do to combat the toxicity of social media.

Social media is an illusion that deceives people into believing the people they watch are living their best lives. When in reality, they privately suffer behind closed doors. Its impossible to remain on social media around the clock. It is also harmful when some attempt to try, for they fall down a rabbit hole they often do not want leave. It is very easy to get caught up in the spells of social media and forget our own lives.
People are deceived into believing their lives are less important and not as exciting as their favorite social media influencers and celebrities. However, if life is so wonderful for these people, why are they committing suicide? The rates of suicide have increased in the West and the East. People are shocked when people they never thought would end their lives wind up dead. What drives them over the edge? In four of the stories, mental health was the ultimate factor.
Clearly money and fame do not add quality or value to one's life. If they did, we'd see a significant decrease in the rates of suicide. And still, some people actually believe being popular and affluent are the keys to happiness. They are not. Take a journey with me as I discuss five individuals who seemed to be living charmed lives in the public eye--yet suffered in private. Ultimately, at least four out of the five certainly ended their lives. In this episode, we will uncover the untruths about social media and celebrity life. We will also discuss how to combat suicidal behavior.

Episode 5: Overcoming Secret Sabotage: Winning Against 'Crabs in a Barrel' Syndrome
Thursday Feb 23, 2023
Thursday Feb 23, 2023
Are you aware of how many people secretly want to see you fail? While its true you may have friends and family who genuinely want to see you succeed, unfortunately, not everyone has your best interest at heart. "Crabs in a Barrel" is a metaphor that describes how people within a specific culture or community, secretly harbor resentment for familiar individuals attempting to enrich their lives by pursuing avenues of opportunity and successful ventures.
Even it it means they may miss out on reaping benefits once you've 'made it', individuals who know you may feel you are not supposed to surpass them--even if they're doing nothing to advance themselves. By withholding or withdrawing support from your new endeavors, they mistakenly believe this will thwart your chances for advancement. It doesn't. In this episode, I show you how to recognize 'frenemies' (enemies disguised as friends) and how to deal with them accordingly.

Have you noticed misogyny has no native language, religion or culture? Misogyny is one of the universal vices that plague women in every country. The rates of violence committed against women around the world is absolutely terrifying. Misogyny is at times adopted and modified by women. However, it is mostly perpetuated by men. Misogyny existed in ancient times--long before the birth of Christ.
The origin of deep, intrinsic hatred of women is as mysterious as the whereabouts of Queen Nefertiti's burial chamber. What is it about women that turns some men into violent rapists and murderers? Where did the disconnect between harmonious relationships between men and women begin? Was there a time in history where men did not seek to dominate and control women? In this episode, I shed light on stories of females of diverse ages and cultures, from around the world who are victims of physical and sexual violence. Join me in deciphering why misogyny exists and if any solutions may be utilized to eradicate it from every society...forever.
