Recently, LSU's Angel Reese was dragged for making the same hand gesture Iowa's Caitlin Clark previously made during a basketball game. Singer Carrie Underwood was slammed on social media for having 'over the top' legs. Its seems as if women are damned if they do and damned if they don't. Join me as I break down what true female empowerment (and oppression) truly is.

Some people are hardwired to get routine oil changes and tire rotations for their cars. However, did you know you can 'schedule' routine mental health maintenance on yourself? I've been doing small, mental health self checkups for years. At a time where suicide is at its peak, it is important to pay attention to how well our minds our functioning--not just our physical health. Episode 14: Amerisogyny Exposed: The Global Struggle for Female Soldiers' Rights
Thursday Mar 23, 2023
Thursday Mar 23, 2023
Ft Hood made national news when Vanessa Guillen, a soldier in the U.S. Army, went missing and was found dead in 2020. She was murdered by a male soldier who had been sexually harassing her. Recent news of another young female soldier has set rumors about the army base in Fort Hood, Texas, ablaze. Her mysterious death has raised old suspicions towards the U.S. Army's treatment of female soldiers at Ft Hood.
Ana Basaldua Ruiz had recently complained of sexual harassment to her parents. Tragically, she was found dead only days after speaking with her mother. Ana's death sparks an abundance of unanswered questions. In this episode, I will show you how female soldiers are treated around the world. Sadly, regardless of the country of origin, women often find the military to be a treacherous arena built on graphic sexualization and blatant disrespect.

BTS caused quite an uproar after meeting for their BTS Festa dinner in 2022. The group announced they planned to take a “break” and would reconvene sometime in the future. Media posted articles the group would be taking a hiatus (which was later disputed by the group’s company, Hybe). Members of the group also vehemently denied the group was disbanding.
However, in a recent press conference, Bang PD has reignited speculation over whether the most popular and successful Kpop male group out of South Korea is really on their way out. Bang PD shared the group has not resigned their contract with Hybe.
In addition, two members have recently been exposed to blatant and very public invasions of privacy that could have placed them in danger. Could this have caused BTS to rethink returning to the spotlight? Take a ride with me as we confront the issues BTS has faced as a group and as individuals trying to find their identity in a world that refuses to let them go…

Episode 12: Crossing Borders: Foreign Women's Fight for Justice and Equality
Friday Mar 10, 2023
Friday Mar 10, 2023
The explosion of K-pop music across western airwaves has caused lots of swooning and very misleading, false ideologies concerning how some men actually behave towards foreign women in their homelands. Desirable aesthetics, exceptional talent and culture have no correlation to how men respond to women. In this episode, I share the true life stories of women from diverse cultures and backgrounds, living in foreign countries who weren't lucky enough to find princes. Instead, they found living, breathing nightmares. Join me in traveling across the globe to discover how a few very brave women found perseverance and fought to reclaim their lives---free from oppression and injustice.

Sugar and spice and everything nice are NOT what the women I'm bringing you in episode 10 are made of! Women are sometimes the abusers in a relationship. However, some men don't receive the support they need due to shame, ridicule and fantasy idealization of what "true" masculinity is. Male victims often suffer in silence in domestic violence. They are not supposed to be victimized by females and the stigma is completely unfair. In a few moments, you'll hear true stories of men who were beaten by the women who were supposed to love them. These couples didn't get a 'happily ever after.' Instead, they became very familiar with two places: prison and the morgue.

Episode 9: Behind Closed Doors: The Harsh Truth of Intimate Partner Abuse
Friday Mar 03, 2023
Friday Mar 03, 2023
Ex football player Zac Stacy made headlines when a video surfaced of him physically assaulting the mother of his son. Stacy fled the state and was subsequently apprehended. Now the ex girlfriend has had a change of mind (and heart). She says he shouldn't go to jail and "deserves a chance to be better." Sadly, this is a common narrative with women who are still in love with their abusers. Some women live to tell the tale of how it feels to be on the receiving end of domestic violence...and some don't. Join me as we uncover true stories of women who suffered at the hands of male abusers.

Outrage followed after an Arkansas State Senator asked a transgender woman "Do you have a ?" Intolerance is a disease that flows within the cracks between the liberty and justice that is supposed to be for all in the United States. The fight for gender affirming care between conservatives and the transgender community is waging on with conservatives determined to stifle autonomy among those who are most vulnerable.
However, transgender people are vehemently fighting back for the right to make medical decisions concerning what they feel is right for their bodies. Scott Adam's comic, Dilbert, has recently been cancelled over a racist tirade he calls 'free speech' and he's not backing down. A grisly murder over money snuffed out the life of a beautiful Chinese model--now an entire family is facing prison for their heinous deed.
